No, if you move some of the smaller items that is helpful. Most large items will be moved by the technician and then put back with blocks or tabs underneath, if needed, for drying purposes.
Yes, we always try to choose cleaning products that will not be harmful.
You can walk on it anytime. We do have shoe covers available for those who would like them. However, some choose to be in stocking feet or go barefoot.
We recommend 24-48 hours after having your carpet cleaned before removing any of the blocks or tabs from under furniture. Even when a carpet is dry to the touch it may still have residual moisture for the 24-48 hour period.
Dry to the touch usually takes 6-8 hours with a maximum of 24 hours.
It is not necessary but some choose to do this because of their personal preferences.
We clean many homes during winter. The carpets and upholstery in your house will dry in a reasonable amount of time as long as you have the heat set comfortably warm. If you have your windows cleaned they may have a few extra rainspots but the wintertime dirt and grime will have been removed.
We have spot cleaners available for purchase that are much safer to use on your carpet and upholstery than store-bought products. Using some household cleaners purchased at the store can lead to setting spots and even color loss in your carpet and upholstery. If you do not have our spot cleaning product, then we recommend that you use only clean water and a towel to blot up any spills or spots (do not rub the spot with the towel). If you cannot remove the spot please call us to give you a more thorough cleaning.
Most estimates are free and can be done over the phone.
For emergency cleanup and initial response call us right away. It is also good after the initial emergency cleanup to have us there at the same time as the adjuster so that we can all be on the same page as to what is best for restoring your home or business.
You are free to choose any qualified restoration contractor. The restoration contractor that the insurance company is sending out is most likely part of what is called a “Preferred Vendor Program”, meaning that they have gone through steps required by the insurance company in order to receive more calls for work. You may choose to use this contractor but you are not required to do so.
For most situations the answer is yes unless your grout is damaged. Epoxy or urethane grout does not need to be sealed.
We clean them using a motorized brush head with a vacuum line attached. This line runs to a truck mounted vacuum system. We brush and vacuum the duct as we push the line into the duct and as we pull the line out. Your registers are then cleaned and replaced and as a final step, a sanitizing agent is added to your duct system.
For most situations we use a method called Hot Water Extraction, some people know this as Steam Cleaning.
No, there are many variables to each job. It is best to let an experienced scheduler help you set up an appointment.
This is highly variable depending on the service you wish to receive and also on the level of difficulty to complete the task. Our experienced schedulers are able to give most estimates over the phone for free.
This is possible but we would only clean with water and no cleaning agents. Results may not be the same as a standard carpet cleaning using cleaning agents.
No, soils will still build up on these surfaces. The purpose of protectants and sealers is to limit the damage from the soil to what the protectant or sealer has been applied to.
